I participated in the contest final of "Finger Picking Day 2008" presented by Moridaira M.I.
February 1964, I was born in Kumamoto, Japan.
At the age of four, I was admission to a kindergarten. It was well-known with classical music education.
At that time, I heard classical music the first time. I thought "What a strange music." It was a one of the oldest memory of mine.
I began a training of playing the piano at the kindergarten. It did not last long, But that experience helped for me as my musical basic skills.
At the age of junior high school, I had to join the band, and I played the double bass of school equipment.
At the age of high school, I bought my first electric bass with part-time jobs.
I started a career as a bass player. I listened and played mainly to jazz.
I have enrolled in local college in Kumamoto. While in college, I played as a jazz bass player at clubs in Kumamoto-city.
In 1985, I was deeply involved in a self-produced record. Then I was interested in the production process of music by computer.
I bought some musical equipments at home. I produced many CM film music and theaterical music with them.
In 1988, I was received a prize with the instrumental piece "Baldness Utang" at "Axia Music Audition'87" presented by Rittor Music,Inc. and FUJIFILM Corporation. (articles 1,2)
In 1990, I went into the Fukuoka. I produced many music projects at some recording studios in Fukuoka.
In 1993, I visited the United States the first.
I played the electric bass at "Monty's" and "Harvelle's"and some other clubs in L.A.
Then I played with Earl Alexander (gtr, vo ; ex.The Temptations), and some other local musicians.
I was sick after returning Fukuoka, Japan. And then I should go home.
In 1995, I returned to Kumamoto.
And then I dislocated right pinkie in an accident. I was unable to play the instruments any more.
I gave up music activities. I started teaching prep school. I was in charge of English language, geography, history, political science and economics for junior high school students.
After a while, I watched growing students. And I thought about what is better for me again.
Then I decided to return to the musical activities. And I started the classical guitar practice instead of rehabilitation for right-hand.
But it was interesting than expected, and within a few years the right-hand grip strength was coming back.
I discovered the possibility, useless the other performers also the computer as a way of musical expression
I secretly decided to convert to the guitar player.
In 1999, I left the prep school in order to concentrate on music activities.
Two years from the spring of 2000, I studied under Mr.Ryuji Matsushita to learn playing the classical guitar.
The summer of 2004, I participated "The First World Guitar Congress". It was a music event of Towson University at suburb of Baltimore MD.
I participated some clinics, masterclasses, symposiums by the great guitar players, Ralph Towner, John Scofield, Jim Hall, David Russell, Sharon Isbin, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Sergio and Odair Assad and some other guitar players.
I deepened friendship with participants coming from around the world
April 2008, I participated in the contest final of "Finger Picking Day 2008" presented by Moridaira M.I.
I'm playing activities and teaching activities in Kumamoto-city mainly now.
I'm playing solo improvisation music with classical guitar.
